Christmas is coming!

It always seems to sneak up!

It’s been another tough year with prices remaining high, a real struggle for some either retaining or recruiting staff, and many more of us finding ourselves out of contract with gas and electricity.

It would be easy to sit back and let Christmas happen, but we don’t do easy!

It’s time to get the shop decorated, get the lights up and maybe get your festive hat on! Oh, and sort out the Christmas opening hours.

It can be a real dilemma when to open over Christmas, you have to consider your teams circumstances, your own circumstances and of course manage customer expectations.

What I think is really important is to make your decision early and let your customers know as soon as possible. Publish your Christmas and New Year opening hours on your website, post on social media, and of course display them in your shop. I don’t think our customers mind us being closed, I think they mind us not telling them when we are going to be closed, when its different to our usual hours.

Do what’s right for your team, your family, and your business.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
