The National Federation of Fish Friers Ltd (NFFF) is delighted to announce the Norwegian Seafood Council as the latest organisation to become an NFFF Associate Member.

NFFF Associate Members play an essential role in providing products and services to the fish frying industry and in supporting the NFFF in working towards the goal of maintaining fish and chips as the UK’s Number 1 takeaway meal.

The Norwegian Seafood Council works together with the Norwegian fisheries and aquaculture industry to develop markets for Norwegian seafood.

Andrew Crook, President of the NFFF said “We are delighted to officially welcome the Norwegian Seafood Council as an NFFF Associate Member. As a Federation it is important to showcase the products and services available to our members. As an industry it is important to work together.

The Norwegian Seafood Council have always been a major supporter of the fish and chip sector in the UK. We already have a very good relationship with them, and we look forward to our continued work with them moving forward.

As an industry is has never been as important than it is today to work together, and we look forward to working with the Norwegian Seafood Council to ensure the industry continues to move forward.”

Hans Frode Kielland Asmyhr, UK Director said “We are very happy to become an associate member of NFFF. We have had close contact with the organization through many years and enjoy many good relationships with members of the NFFF. We have decided it´s time that we now take a more active role in partnership with the NFFF to support the members in the best way we can do.

The British Fish & Chip industry is very important for our Norwegian fishing industry and Brits has enjoyed the sustainable and high-quality Norwegian cod and haddock for many years. Many generations of Norwegian fishermen and British Fish & Chip shop owners has been partners and many still buy fish from the same vessels as their predecessor did. We see that the UK Fish & Chip industry is challenged by many competitors and we want to contribute to all the good work that will be done to secure Fish & Chips as the No. 1 British national dish. The NFFF is the natural place to support this.”
