The National Fish and Chip Awards has named three businesses as finalists for its Supplier of the Year category, with the winner to be announced in a just a few weeks’ time.
The award recognises suppliers that go the extra mile to provide quality produce and stand-out service to the fish and chip industry or organise events to help bring the industry closer together. These companies have helped make the fish and chip industry and its network what it is today.
The Supplier of the Year finalists are:
Ceres
KFE
Dennis Crooks – Fish Merchants
Organiser of the National Fish and Chip Awards Andrew Crook and president of the National Federation of Fish Friers which is sponsoring the category says: “The fish and chip industry has a supply chain like no other, many of our suppliers are family businesses themselves that have grown as the industry has grown. These suppliers understand that by supporting fish and chip shops the whole industry benefits and often go above and beyond what is required to help our industry.”
“Over the last few years, there have been times when the chips have literally been down, as well as fish stock, with many businesses facing challenges and setbacks but having great suppliers like our finalists to lean on is what makes the industry resilient and a privilege to be part of. Best of luck to Ceres, KFE and William Crooks Fish Merchants.”
The winner of the Supplier of the Year category will be announced at the awards ceremony hosted by comedian Rob Beckett on 28 February at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London. Few tickets remain, so get yours today to avoid disappointment. https://thefishandchipawards.com/event-tickets/.
