Most of Scotland to remain in Level 2 for further period as roadmap temporarily ‘paused’.
Most of the country had been due to go to Level 1 from 7 June but Nicola Sturgeon says it is necessary to temporarily “pause” the easing for some areas until more people have been fully vaccinated.
The places remaining under Level 2 restrictions are:
- Edinburgh and Midlothian
- Dundee
- East Dunbartonshire
- Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire
- The three Ayrshires
- North and South Lanarkshire
- Clackmannanshire and Stirling
Level 3 to Level 2
- Glasgow City from Saturday
Level 2 to Level 1
- Highland, Argyll and But
- Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire
- Moray, Angus, Perth and Kinross
- Falkirk, Fife, Inverclyde, East and West Lothian
- West Dunbartonshire
- Dumfries and Galloway
- The Borders
Level 1 to Level 0 (From Saturday)
- Shetland, Orkney and the Western Isle
