J-Henry’s Fish & Chips in Hedge End, Hants is a family-run business that has been serving customers for over 35 years . The shop has 11 close family members working in it, including Shane Lee, 59, who is known as The Codfather, his wife Beverley, their four children, and five grandchildren .

Shane started working in a fish and chip shop when he was just 14 years old. In 1988, he opened J-Henry’s Fish & Chips and named it after his son John-Henry, who is now 41 and set to take over the business with his brother Sonny, 29.

Daughters Ellie, 38, and Charlotte, 25, are also on board, as well as Shane’s grandchildren, who start working at the shop at the age of 11 to earn pocket money.

J-Henry’s Fish & Chips is a testament to the Lee family’s dedication and passion for delivering quality meals to their community. As John-Henry and Sonny gear up to take the reins, the legacy of The Codfather is sure to live on, ensuring that J-Henry’s remains a cherished family-run business in Hedge End for years to come.
