National wholesaler JJ Foodservice is set to expand its product range by 67%, aiming to serve more customers as the eating-out market rebounds towards 2027.
At last week’s JJ Supplier Conference, Chief Product Officer Sezer Ozkul announced, “With inflation easing, consumer confidence is beginning to return after two years of belt-tightening. The eating-out market is finally ready for a comeback.”
Held at 30 Euston Square, the conference gathered key suppliers under the theme, ‘Journey to Growth: Innovation and New Markets.’
JJ Foodservice shared its strategic focus on emerging markets, particularly the fast-growing Korean, Thai and Japanese sectors, expected to drive growth over the next five years.
“The World Food Asia market is one of the most exciting trends in foodservice,” said Sezer. “We’re expanding our range to meet demand for Asian fusion foods, serving restaurant customers who expect high-quality products and exceptional service.”
JJ currently offers 3,000 product lines across 12 branches and plans to grow this to 5,000 – a 67% increase. This expansion will help reach more customers over the next two years.
“Our Advanced Order marketplace will ensure nationwide availability of the expanded range, boosting both visibility and sales,” said Chief Operating Officer, Kaan Hendekli.
The wholesaler also reported 15% growth in its Advance Order marketplace and a 41% boost in JJ Home, with product lines now totalling 900.
“We’re committed to expanding our physical presence with new branches in London, presenting exciting growth opportunities for suppliers,” Kaan said. “We’ll also pursue targeted acquisitions in key sectors to enhance our capabilities and strengthen market influence,” he added.
The event featured presentations from some of the biggest names in the industry, including CJ Foods, the world’s largest Korean food producer, as well as insights into market trends from Lumina Intelligence, Future Foodservice, and IGD. The afternoon was packed with interactive workshops, including a Mexican food session with Santa Maria, a Thai cuisine workshop with The Food Fellas, and a Dumpling Making Masterclass led by The School of Wok.
