HELP DURING LOCKDOWN
Andrew Crook - NFFF President
January 7, 2021

As you may have seen the latest trench of support grants for hospitality and retail are only available to businesses forced to close. Whilst more fish and chip shops can hopefully trade a level that will allow them to get through to when restrictions are restricted, others reliant on workers, the night time economy or tourism will obviously be more seriously affected.

There are discretionary grants available which will be dispersed by your local authority which could provide a vital lifeline to businesses that really need it, I think we have to remember it is not there for every shop to claim but rather those with a real threat of permanent closure without assistance, abuse of the system may lead to the facility not being available to people in real need. To help we have produced a supporting letter to accompany your application. If you do not get any job then please let us know and we will do what we can to get the Government address this issue.

We have collated all the information we received yesterday from businesses so thank you to everyone who got in touch.

We are hopefully on the home stretch so hopefully we can start to focus on recovery when we get to spring and beyond.
